Killing Time

Posted by: _arieL on: June 2, 2009

I’m at work, time is slow. I’m passing time. Yes, I have something to do, but I’m stuck so I don’t want to continue. My eyes are tired. It feels dry, actually. The last time I felt this way was when I was forced to use my contact lenses because I lost my glasses when we went surfing. Maybe this is the effect of The Night Shift. What the heck, it’s just the first day.

For the record, I ate snacks every 3 hours in the attempt to increase my metabolism. It’s kind of a lame attempt since I’m sitting 90% of the time at work, only standing and walking if have to get water, go to the comfort room or buy my snack and probably go people watching along the way. Then, I saw you, buying something from Country Style, your eyes met mine, hoping it means something. Went to 7-11 to buy myself some food, but decided I’d be better off with the “real” sandwich from Country Style. Of course, part of me wanted to see you again. My heart skipped a beat when I saw you from the corner, going towards 7-11. Our eyes met yet again. Paid my juice and went off.

Okay, my turn to buy in Country Style. I’m checking the menu to buy some time because I know you’ll be back to get your order. Placed my order and waited until my sandwich was made. Looked towards the 7-11 cashier area and saw you looking back. My heart skipped a beat again. You came back, just as I thought. I love your necklace, by the way. You passed by, got your order, dine-in, while my sandwich was being made. Hi, my name is… What’s yours? Nevermind. It’s time to go. Paid my sandwich and went off.

It was nice seeing you. Hope we’ll bump into each other tomorrow night.

Biorepeater

One of my teammates, Froi, had a DVD copy of Bioman, and I was so excited to see the series again that I decided to watch two episodes earlier (the one where the first Yellow 4, Casey, died and then they recruited the new one, June). The versions I got were the English-dubbed. It was great seeing the series again after all these years. I remember getting myself all prepped-up on Sundays before the show starts on IBC13.

Another thing that I noticed about the show was the cheezy lines the characters deliver. What’s even funnier is the constant repitition of lines, as if the terms or situations are always in need of explaining, despite how trivial they were. Of course kids never really cared about it—all they want is a dose of good-versus-evil-with-some-robot-action, to satisfy their childish desires.

Balerrrr!

More than a week ago, my friends and I went to Baler, Aurora to have our summer vacation. We wanted to have one last outing together as a batch in the office since our bond will be ending soon. This trip almost did not come to reality because most of us backed out nearing the date itself, and after some “convincing”, eventually, almost everyone agreed to come. Unfortunately, Ja was not able to join us. Karla, Jigo’s girlfriend, and Ronjyl (our friend from Allied Bank who went in training with us) tagged along.

We were supposed to go with other people from other companies who availed the package along with us, but since we wanted to enjoy the beach without being groggy and tired from the trip, we went on the trip 12 hours earlier. Read the rest of this entry »

Adjustments

So it has been two weeks since I left Kingswood, and honestly, I’m kind of missing the place already (despite me almost dissing the place because I was too frustrated with my housemates). To a certain degree, I’m kind of regretting that I left the place. Yes, I’m still in the “in-denial” stage… Read the rest of this entry »
